Crazy Food Night: Episode 1

A new tradition has been started among my friends that involves finding several new recipes out of multiple cookbooks, a trip to Central Market for the freshest produce, meats, & cheeses, and hours worth of chopping, mixing & making. We call it Crazy Food Night. For episode 1 we used "Recipes from an Italian Summer" published by a company called Phaidon. It's an abosuletely beautiful book I picked up from Anthropologie while shopping with my girlfriend. Phaidon also has many other cookbooks that, at least from their site, look equally impressive. We made avacado salad, grape-stuffed, bacon-wrapped quail and a squash medley. It was outrageously good and I took photos along the way. Try not to drool on your screen.
